You'll Never Be Lost Again

Having a great sense of direction is no match to knowing precisely where you are at all times. A Navigation and Information System uses input from three different sources to determine your present location and track vehicle progress.

The eyes of every screen based Navigation system are Global Positioning Satellites (GPS) orbiting the Earth to determine the exact location of your vehicle. It starts with location data from up to eight GPS satellites (received through anonboard antenna) to tell the computer generally where you are. It utilizes vehicle speed information to determine how far you' ve travelled and a gyro sensor to tell when you' ve turned. Then it compares all that information with the system road map database to constantly map your position within a few feet.

All you have to do is enter your destination and the system will do the rest. You'll get directions on a map display as well as spoken instruction. If you make a wrong turn, the system will react immediately and guide you back on course. Like a personal assistant, it can organize your list of errands into a shortest route, locate a nearest ATM and a gas station, or quickly list all Italian restaurants in a neighborhood.

Navigation system then really goes to work, not only calculating the best route, but guiding you turn by turn, with a simple warning; so even in fog, rain or dark of night you'll find your way. You or your spouse should never be lost again.
